# Where AI decks actually help in a business week

Separate three recurring jobs: a sales proposal, a leadership update and a project review.

## Worked example

Use these starting values to work through the decision, then substitute your own inputs.

Separate three recurring jobs: a sales proposal, a leadership update and a project review. They need different proof. The proposal needs agreed scope, the update needs comparable periods, and the review needs owners and dates. Try one six-slide brief for each job over three weeks. Count unsupported statements, manual corrections and whether the recipient completed the intended action. Nine successful generations alone would not tell you whether any of those meetings became more useful.

## Measure the finished job

Keep the input and expected output fixed during the comparison. Record active work separately from waiting for another person's approval. A faster first draft matters only when the reviewed deliverable is ready sooner.

1. Keep a copy of the source and the first generated version; otherwise later fixes erase the evidence of what needed work.
2. Log preparation, drafting, verification and delivery as separate stages. Record the person responsible for each stage.
3. Repeat the same task category before changing the workflow. Compare recurring reports with recurring reports, rather than with a new investor story.
