Text to PowerPoint with AI: Build a Brief Before Slides

To turn plain text into useful slides, label its purpose before choosing a theme. Give the generator an audience, a decision, approved facts and a target length. Review the proposed outline before generating a full deck; otherwise an attractive layout can conceal a weak argument.

Try this brief: “Create six slides for an operations review. Use only the approved facts below. Open with the decision, then show the baseline, current result, options, recommendation and next action. Keep missing causes as questions. Propose the outline first.” Replace each placeholder with information you can verify.

For a source saying “24 of 40 accounts renewed,” keep both numbers and the cohort definition. The rate is 60%. Do not let the draft turn accounts into users, renewal into satisfaction or the missing 16 accounts into a churn explanation without evidence. One number can survive while its meaning changes.

Paste clean text into Pageworks, review the outline and remove repeated claims before generation. This workflow is for plain text and outlines; the document guide covers file extraction and uploads. After export, change a title and a key value in the destination application. Saving a file with a PPTX extension does not settle whether the required objects remain editable.
