Write a pitch brief that makes your business story clear

Most pitch decks fail in the outline, not the font. Founders know the story in conversation but write briefs that read like essays. The model mirrors that - twelve slides of context before the problem.

Lead with your customer problem and advantage

Describe the customer problem, how customers handle it today, and why your solution matters now. Keep the brief focused; include a source when you add market-size figures.

Traction in plain numbers

Revenue, growth rate, retention, logos - pick what you actually have. Write: "Include these metrics verbatim; do not invent benchmarks." Models fill silence with fiction unless you forbid it.

• If pre-revenue, say what proof you do have - pilots, waitlist, design partners.
• Name the round and use of funds in the brief so the ask slide is not vague.
• For a first investor meeting, Standard mode with a pitch template may be easier to control than Smart.

Introduce the team through relevant achievements

Brief line: "Team slide - founder-market fit in one line each, no full CV." You can always attach bios in the data room; the deck is the hook.

Edit for the partner meeting

Generate, then cut ruthlessly. If a slide does not support the ask, move it to appendix or delete. Use speaker notes for the story you tell when the slide is up - not more bullets on the canvas.
