The twenty-minute prep routine before a live meeting
You do not need to run the deck six times. You need to fail once quietly at your desk.

- Read slide titles aloud — skip body text. Does the story hold?
- Open present mode; check notes render on your machine.
- Click every link and chart source if you have them.
- Confirm export opens in PowerPoint if someone asked for a file.
- Water. Close Slack. Join two minutes early.
Twenty minutes is enough when the deck was edited yesterday. If you are still rewriting headlines in minute eighteen, postpone or cut slides — do not present a draft.
