Compare two complete runs of the same eight-slide brief. In a planning example, manual drafting takes 70 minutes plus 20 for review; AI drafting takes 15 minutes plus 40 for correction and 10 for export repair. Total effort is 90 versus 65 minutes, a 25-minute difference - not the 55 minutes implied by drafting alone. Repeat with your own work before buying on that basis. If the brief changes between runs, record it instead of attributing the difference to the tool.

Measure the finished job

Keep the input and expected output fixed during the comparison. Record active work separately from waiting for another person's approval. A faster first draft matters only when the reviewed deliverable is ready sooner.

1. Keep a copy of the source and the first generated version; otherwise later fixes erase the evidence of what needed work.
2. Log preparation, drafting, verification and delivery as separate stages. Record the person responsible for each stage.
3. Repeat the same task category before changing the workflow. Compare recurring reports with recurring reports, rather than with a new investor story.
