Present live or export PPTX — how to choose

Present in the browser when

• You control the room and the screen share.
• The deck might change an hour before showtime.
• You want speaker notes visible without a second monitor hack.
• You would rather not email files around.

Pageworks present mode is built for this: full screen, notes to you, light on extra cost. You already edited on the same canvas — no export surprise.

Export PPTX when

• Legal or procurement wants an file in the ticket.
• A partner will merge your slides into their master template.
• The meeting is offline or Teams-without-link.
• Your CEO will rewrite slide four in PowerPoint anyway — give them the native file.

Native PPTX means shapes and text stay editable. That matters when the follow-up deck is the one that actually gets approved.

Hybrid is normal

Present live from the browser for the meeting; export immediately after for the recap email. One source of truth in the editor, two delivery formats. Do not maintain parallel decks in different tools unless you enjoy merge conflicts.
